The cymbidiums originate in subtropical Asia to North Australia. They have become one of the most popular and important orchids. This rendition is best printed on 20x36 gallery wrap canvas. <image:title>Orchids - Stanhopea florida</image:title>
<image:caption>The Stanhopea orchids are among the favorites of orchid enthusiasts. This one is found on the eastern slope of the Andes in Ecuador and in Columbia and Peru. When they bloom the spikes emerges from the bottom of the plant and so they hang down rather than growing upright. The blossoms only last for several days, but when in bloom there is nothing more spectacular. As a result of these Stanhopea orchid characteristics, orchid lovers spend a lot of the day looking at them while they can. Capturing them on print allows us to enjoy them for much longer than the few days they are in bloom. And that is heavenly! Purchase options</image:caption>

<image:caption>The species of Coelogynes number almost 200. They range from Southeast Asia, Southwest China, and from the Philippines to the islands of Indonesia. This particular species produces one of the largest flowers, thus making it a very popular orchid. A mature plant can have dozens and dozens of blossoms. One note of interest: Many species of Coelognye are abundant in the Himalayan region of India and Southeast Asia. They can tolerate the cold and are often seen blooming before the snow is completely melted. Any one interested in that trivia, or just because of its beauty, will appreciate this picture hanging on a wall in their home or office. Purchase options</image:caption>

<image:title>Landscapes & Wildlife - Oxbow Bend at the base of the Tetons</image:title>
<image:caption>This is one of the prints that hangs on my own wall. I admire it every day! It is taken from a vantage point away from where the normal hordes of photographers line up to get the iconic picture of the Ox Bow bend of the Snake River as it winds away from Mount Moran and the famous Tetons. (See my blog for the exciting story surrounding the capture of this great place on print.) It was taken with HDR and HRP techniques, allowing me to create three 40x30 gallery wrap frames (triptych) equaling a whopping 120 x 30 panorama. The pink shades on the mountains from morning sun, the yellows of the fall quaking aspens, and the early steam coming off Jackson Lake among all the other details of the the print make it one of the best you will ever see of the Tetons and the Oxbow bend. <image:caption>This is another print that adorns my office wall. It is a singular capture of the famous Angel’s Landing. The first three miles or so are a relative easy hike. However, the last several hundred yards encompass a narrow, rocky, uphill trail with thousands of feet between the trail and the ground below. As Hal is prone to do, this photograph is taken from an advantage point emphasizing the old, gnarly Ponderosa Pine rather than Angel’s Landing itself. (Watch for the blog post about this adventure.) After two hundred feet of winding through the wet under growth, misted by the falls, he set his camera on a tripod a foot off the ground and took multiple shots. <image:title>Landscapes & Wildlife - Sardine Canyon near Mantua, Utah</image:title>
<image:caption>Hal and a friend had driven up Sardine Canyon in late September to photograph the fall colors which draped the mountains near Willard Peak road above Mantua, Utah. Without any contrast, the pictures they took were just ho-hum in vibrancy and color. As is often the case, a serendipitous early snow storm the next week made a vast difference in the same scene. The snow topped jackleg fence, coupled with the fall- colored maples, and the distinct pines in the background exaggerated by the new snow make for one of Hal’s most popular prints. Printed on three 30x40 canvases, the shear size of this triptych creates the sensation of actually being there. Although requiring a spacious wall, anyone who ventures to hang it on their wall will never be slighted by it presence. Purchase Options</image:caption>

<image:title>Landscapes & Wildlife - Horsetail Falls - Yosemite National Park</image:title>
<image:caption>Horsetail falls is one of the most popular attractions for photographers anywhere in this very famous national park. Located on the eastern edge of El Capitan in the Yosemite Valley, it is an ephemeral ( short lived) water fall. It is illuminated spectacularly by the setting sun for two weeks in February. To view it in person is almost surreal. It is truly one of God’s great creations. And a canvas print allows this natural wonder to be enjoyed perpetually. To the delight of his clients, Hal has a 30 x 40 inch print hanging in his office. Such a print on your wall will not only draw the attention of your guests, but it will provide countless hours of enjoyment for you and your family. 20x30 30x40 etc</image:caption>

<image:title>Landscapes & Wildlife - Vineyard Ukiah, California</image:title>
<image:caption>A special trip was consummated in early November several years ago from Utah to California to photograph the fall colors of the numerous vineyards in California’s wine country. The trip did not disappoint. An early morning drive toward an area south Ukiah, California was quickly terminated as Hal saw the early morning sun beginning to burn off the fog in the yellow-blanketed vineyard. Securely mounted on a tripod, Hal’s camera captured the stunning panorama of the rising sun, the fog -shrouded vineyards in the background hills and the incredible colors of the foreground vineyard. The colors and details of the 60x20 inch print will create a visual adventure on your living room wall to be enjoyed for years to come. 60x20 $625 and 40x13 $295</image:caption>

<image:caption>Oxbow Bend at the base of the Tetons This is one of the prints that hangs on my own wall. I admire it every day! It is taken from a vantage point away from where the normal hordes of photographers line up to get the iconic picture of the Ox Bow bend of the Snake River as it winds away from Mount Moran and the famous Tetons. (See my blog for the exciting story surrounding the capture of this great place on print.) It was taken with HDR and HRP techniques, allowing me to create three 40x30 gallery wrap frames (triptych) equaling a whopping 120 x 30 photograph. The pink shades on the mountains from morning sun, the yellows of the fall quaking aspens, and the early steam coming off Jackson Lake among all the other details of the the print make it one of the best you will ever see of the Tetons and the Oxbow bend.</image:caption>
