I started out with the intent of catching the brilliant colors on and off the hundred-plus apricot trees in an orchard near my home in Perry, Utah. The apricots had long since been harvested. A blanket of orange and red leaves covered the ground around the trees. However, as is often the case, what I initially went to capture through the camera’s lens was not what became the focus of my attention.
The unique composition of the three orange apricot leaves, with the background properly blurred, created one of my most favorite prints in my entire collection.
